The RomantikCard of Romantik Hotels & Restaurants (Romantik Hotels & Restaurants AG, Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage 18, 60325 Frankfurt) rewards registered guests for their membership. When using their RomantikCard, the owners will receive the benefits described below. The basis of a membership is the terms and conditions of participation described below.

1 PARTICIPATING HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS

The programme is valid in all hotels and restaurants that are members and shareholders of Romantik Hotels & Restaurants AG at the time of the trip or restaurant stay under the protected designation "Romantik Hotel" or "Romantik Restaurant" and that are listed in the Romantik Guide or on one of the websites (www.romantikhotels.com or www.romantikrestaurants.com).

2 PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM

2.1 Conditions

A RomantikCard can be used by all private individuals who are of legal age or have legal capacity according to the legislation of the state in which they are resident. If this is not the case, the use shall be deemed unjustified from the outset.

2.2 Order of the RomantikCard

A RomantikCard can be ordered as follows:

When registering, all required mandatory fields (the name, correct postal address and email address) must be filled truthfully and in full. A valid email address must be deposited for participation. It is not possible for two owners to use the same email address.

Changes to the name, postal address or email address must be made by the owner directly in his guest profile on the website myromantik.romantikhotels.com. If the owner does not have a guest profile, he can of course also notify the Frankfurt headquarter in writing, who will then make the changes for him or her.

2.3 Costs

Use of the RomantikCard Classic is free of charge.

Use of the RomantikCard Gold costs an annual fee of 89.00 euros. Payment is due immediately after ordering. The contract concluded with the order is for 12 months and is automatically extended for a further 12 months if it is not terminated in due time 1 month before the end of the month. Cancellation can be made online at myromantik.romantikhotels.com or by email to info@romantikhotels.com or by post to Romantik Hotels & Restaurants AG, Kaiserstrasse 53, 60329 Frankfurt.

2.4 Consent to receive newsletters and further information

The user's data submitted to Romantik Hotels & Restaurants AG can be used to provide users with messages in written and/or electronic form about the program (general information, personalised information and advertisements for stays in Romantik Hotels and Restaurants or other loyalty programs). The user may object to the use of his email address for this purpose at any time by email to the following address: romantikcard@romantikhotels.com.

2.5 Guest Profile

The guest profile is exclusively digital and can be accessed via the website myromantik.romantikhotels.com. All information about the guest profile and the use of the RomantikCard can be accessed on the website here.

On myromantik.romantikhotels.com, the guest can create and maintain their guest profile. He can view and modify stored contact details. They also have the option to indicate personal preferences there.

The owner is obliged to keep their personal data (name, postal address, email address) up-to-date and to incorporate any changes into the guest profile. Online availability may be interrupted for reasonable periods of time for maintenance or for the purpose of further development of MyROMANTIK .

The owner may not disclose their personal password to third parties and is responsible for the use and secrecy of his credentials. To the extent that the registration is successful, the holder will have immediate access to his guest profile.

3 ROMANTIKCARD BENEFITS

Ownership of the RomantikCard Classic offers the following benefits:

• The prerequisite is a booking on www.romantikhotels.com, the hotel website or by telephone at the hotel or the Romantik office in Frankfurt. Contract rates with companies, offers and other special rates and seasonal offers are excluded. Bookings via external booking portals and bookings for group travel (3 rooms or more) and events (whether private or business) are also excluded from the benefits of the RomantikCard.
• In order to benefit from the advantages of the RomantikCard, the presence of the cardholder is mandatory.
• 3% credit of the invoice amount on the card for the next visit to a Romantik Hotel or restaurant up to an invoice amount of € 2,500
• Payment for services in Romantik hotels and restaurants with the card balance
• Possibility to create and maintain a guest profile on myromantik.romantikhotels.com
• Receive and take advantage of regular offers created especially for RomantikCard holders

The benefits of the RomantikCard cannot be combined with other special offers from Romantik Hotels or restaurants or with the Miles & More and BahnBonus programs.

Possession of the RomantikCard Gold offers the following advantages for the holder:

• The prerequisite is a booking on www.romantikhotels.com, the hotel website or by telephone at the hotel or the Romantik office in Frankfurt. Contract rates, offers and other special rates and seasonal offers are excluded. Bookings via third-party channels are also excluded from the benefits of the RomantikCard.
• 8% credit of the invoice amount on the card for the next visit to a Romantik Hotel or restaurant up to an invoice amount of € 2,500
• Payment for services in Romantik hotels and restaurants with the card balance
• Possibility to create and maintain a guest profile on myromantik.romantikhotels.com
• Receive and take advantage of regular offers created especially for RomantikCard holders
• Opportunity to take part in exclusive meetings with Romantik in a small circle
• Automatic delivery of the Romantik Magalog and Romantik Explore magazine issues
• Advantages with partners of Romantik Hotels

The benefits of the RomantikCard cannot be combined with other special offers from Romantik Hotels or restaurants or with the Miles & More and BahnBonus programs.

4 CREDIT AND EXPIRY OF CREDIT BALANCES

After payment in a Romantik hotel or restaurant, a bonus of either 3% or 8% will be credited to the RomantikCard.

If a Romantik voucher is used to pay or part-pay the bill, the 3% or 8% bonus will only be granted on the amount not paid with the voucher.

If part of the bill is paid with the credit from the RomantikCard, the 3% or 8% bonus will not be granted on this partial amount. The bonus will only be applied to the remaining amount after the card balance has been deducted.

When booking via an external booking platform (i.e. not directly at the hotel, on the hotel website or at www.romantikhotels.com or by telephone at the Romantik office), no bonus will be credited to the RomantikCard after departure.

If the RomantikCard is newly purchased during the stay, the bonus of 3% or 8% for this stay will be loaded onto the card immediately upon payment of the bill.

The bonus is stored on the RomantikCard and can be used for payment after 24 hours in all Romantik hotels or restaurants.

The bonus expires after 12 months for the RomantikCard Classic and after 24 months for the RomantikCard Gold if no further bonuses are collected or redeemed during this period. This means that a new stay in a Romantik Hotel or restaurant is required during this period.

5 RUNTIME AND TERMINATION

5.1 Term - RomantikCard Classic

Membership runs for an indefinite period from successful registration and subject to termination in accordance with section 5.3.1 and can be terminated by the cardholder and the user at any time with one month's notice.

5.2 Term - RomantikCard Gold

Membership runs for one year from successful registration and is automatically extended by one year at a time, subject to termination in accordance with section 5.3.2.

5.3 Cancellation by the cardholder

5.3.1 Cancellation of the RomantikCard Classic

The cardholder may terminate his/her membership at any time with one month's notice by deleting his/her guest profile and informing the Romantik office of the termination by post (Kaiserstrasse 53, 60329 Frankfurt) or by email to info@romantikhotels.com.

5.3.2 Cancellation of the RomantikCard Gold

The cardholder can terminate his/her participation with a notice period of 4 weeks to the end of the annual contract period by sending a short letter to the office (Kaiserstrasse 53, 60329 Frankfurt), via email to info@romantikhotels.com or at https://www.romantikhotels.com/en/vorteilsprogramm/cancel-your-romantikcard-gold/.

5.4 Termination by the user 

Romantik Hotels & Restaurants AG is entitled to terminate the membership for good cause without notice and without compensation. Good cause is deemed to exist in particular in the event of a breach by the owner of these conditions of participation, the general terms and conditions applicable to the participating hotels and restaurants, any provision of false information and any inappropriate behavior (in particular unpleasant, malicious or insulting behavior towards hotel employees or guests).

Termination of membership leads to complete withdrawal from the customer loyalty program of Romantik Hotels and Restaurants.

6 LIABILITY

For damages caused to the owner in connection directly with the membership, the Romantik Hotels & Restaurants AG is only liable for wilful misconduct and gross negligence. Any damages are limited to the amount of the typically foreseeable damage. The above limitation of liability does not apply in the event of injury to life, body or health, in the event of claims of product liability law and to the extent that the law prohibits such restrictions.

7 CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION AND THE ROMANTIKCARD BENEFITS

7.1 Changes to the terms and conditions of participation

These terms and conditions can be changed in whole or in part at any time by the Romantik Hotels & Restaurants AG. Such changes take proper account of the interests of the owners. Holders will be informed of the changes before they enter into force via email and may object within a reasonable period. In addition, it is possible to terminate the membership in accordance with paragraph 5 at any time. To the extent that the use of the RomantikCard continues without objection after the changes come into force, this means the consent of the holder to the new terms and conditions of participation. If a holder of the change objects on time, his membership may be terminated by the user with a notice period of one month.

7.2 Changes to RomantikCard benefits

It is expressly made clear that the RomantikCard benefits mentioned in paragraph 3 can also be changed or deleted at any time in whole or in part in accordance with paragraph 6.1.

8 DATA PROTECTION

The use of the individual data of the owner is carried out in accordance with the data protection regulations under privacy policy.

9 ACCEPTANCE OF THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION AND APPLICABLE LAW

By registering for the RomantikCard, the holder accepts these terms and conditions without reservation. The above terms and conditions of participation replace all previous agreements and are subject to German law, without prejudice to mandatory safeguards that could apply in the country of residence of consumers. The place of fulfillment is Frankfurt.
