Rest instead of lawn
It is the oldest and perhaps the most beautiful wine road in Styria. It runs over 25 km from Ehrenhausen to Leutschach and nestles on gentle wine slopes, leading over numerous hills with ever new, fascinating views. Resting instead of rushing - along the South Styrian Wine Route, visitors will find many idyllic spots in nature and opportunities for extensive hiking and cycling. In between, the traditional rural Buschenschanken and wineries invite you to take a refreshing break. It is not for nothing that Southern Styria is known for its great wines and culinary delicacies.
The wine country on the border with Slovenia is also home to the Zieregg and Ciringa vineyards of the Tement winegrowing family, the hosts at Romantik Chalet Winzarei, which consists of the two destinations in Ehrenhausen (AT) and Zgorna Kungota (SLO). These destinations with unique views over the wildly romantic wine landscape offer their guests 25 lovingly furnished chalets and suites - places to recharge their batteries for relaxing holidays with many, tempting offers "The Winzarei is a place that fuses wine, cosy living comfort and culinary highlights into a total work of art," promises hotelier and winemaker Manfred Tement.
