Fine cuisine in family hospitality
The idyllic town of Lauterbach is located on the northern slopes of the Vogelsberg in Hesse. On the edge of the old town, the traditional hotel with its beautiful themed rooms nestles in the townscape that has grown over the centuries. The hotel's excellent cuisine is just as varied as the surroundings. Guests dine in a modern ambience or in a rustic, cosy atmosphere.

The Romantik Hotel Schubert is now run by the third generation of the Schubert family, who welcome guests with particularly warm hospitality. The house was originally a butcher's shop with a restaurant, opened in 1905 by Konrad Stöhr. 60 years later, Gustl and her husband Kurt Schubert transformed the family business into a guesthouse with restaurant. Afterwards, Dieter and Ruth Schubert lovingly managed the Hotel Schubert and handed it over to their son Stefan in 2010, who has been running it together with his wife Britta ever since. Even as a child, Stefan Schubert knew that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps. He was already preparing the breakfast egg for the breakfast guests at the age of seven. Today he is the head chef of the hotel's own restaurants and creates sophisticated cuisine for gourmets with creativity and regional products.
