Savoir vivre behind half-timbering and precious roses!
In the midst of the rolling hills of the southern Sauerland, surrounded by forests and meadows, near the romantic Biggesee lake, lies this traditional hotel in an idyllic setting in Attendorn. Already the sixth generation of the Platte family preserves the loving atmosphere of times gone by for their guests. In addition to the Westphalian culinary delights, you will especially appreciate the high standard of living and the countless leisure, sports and recreational opportunities.
Your hosts
Where a simple farmhouse with a cattle shed stood almost 170 years ago, Christof Platte and his wife Gaby now steer the fortunes of the popular Romantik Hotel. The members of the Platte family are full-blooded hoteliers and hosts with a passion. But their career was by no means preordained. Christof Platte actually wanted to become a model carpenter or gain a foothold in the car industry. The fact that he now runs one of the most successful hotels in the Sauerland region is thanks to his parents who, with tireless dedication, managed to lead the inn to its present size. Of particular importance was the year 1995, when the Platte family decided to join Romantik Hotels. Romanticism is an attitude, a philosophy - as a hotelier, you have to be a fan for the cause, Christof Platte describes his enthusiasm for the industry.
