You can rent bicycles at the hotel to discover the countryside from the saddle. The hotel is in the immediate vicinity of Lake Gruyère and there are beautiful routes along the shore. On nice days, you will also find suitable bathing spots to cool off in the lake's water or to swim.

Discover local crafts and delicacies such as the famous Gruyère cheese or Swiss chocolate. Visit the cheese dairies in Gruyere and the chocolatieres in Gruyeres or Fribourg. Here you can learn more about the tradition of these products or make your own creations.

The Moléson ski area (2003m) is the largest ski area in the Fribourg Pre-Alps with 35 kilometres of piste and is particularly suitable for families. Near the hotel are other ski areas such as La Berra, Charmey and Jaun.

These stretch across the cantons of Fribourg, Bern and Vaud in western Switzerland and captivate with a dreamlike alpine landscape. Over 100 km of signposted hiking and cycling routes make excursions through the Pre-Alps easily accessible for all age groups, which is another reason why this region is a popular holiday destination. 

Dominated by Bulle, the capital of the region, Gruyère is famous for its picturesque lake, the charming medieval town of Gruyères, for a variety of leisure activities and, of course, for its named cheese. Gruyére is a medieval picture book town on a small hill with a castle and less than 20 kilometres from the hotel. Not far away in Charmey is the Bains de la Gruyère. From the heated outdoor pool with waterfall, you can enjoy the picturesque Gruyère landscape with 360-degree panoramic views.

Medieval Fribourg in Üechtland, 20 km away, is situated on a rocky outcrop surrounded by the Saane River. The old town impresses with hundreds of Gothic facades and its 13th century cathedral. The 74-metre-high church tower offers an incomparable panoramic view. The ski areas of the Fribourg Pre-Alps can be reached in just 20 minutes in winter, and Lake Geneva for cooling off in summer is only 30 minutes away by car.
