In a park with a hundred-year-old tree population, the Romantik Hotel Le Val d'Amblève is located in the middle of nature and a dreamlike environment. It offers unlimited possibilities for leisure, cultural and sporting activities. 

There are about 100 kilometres of cycling and hiking trails around the hotel. You can also visit the German-Belgian National Park Hohes Venn, which is only 20 kilometres away from the hotel. In the varied nature of the Eifel, you can hike or cycle through Belgian moors and valleys with colourful biodiversity and discover caves from the Stone Age and mystical ruins of Roman buildings. 

The Abbaye de Stavelot 

The Abbaye de Stavelot with its 11th century foundation walls is one of the oldest monastery foundations in Belgium. With its beautiful monastery garden, three museums, magnificent halls and centuries-old vaulted cellars, it is well worth a visit. 

In addition to the classic thermal water pools, saunas and whirlpools, the extensive range of spa services includes a variety of different massages, cosmetic treatments, special physiotherapy and mud treatments. A fitness and relaxation area, the restaurant and the mother and child area complete the all-round well-being package. 

The Ardennes circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in the triangle of Francorchamps - Malmedy - Stavelot was already the scene of the greatest races in the 1920s. To this day, renowned races such as Formula 1 or the 24-hour race take place here. 

The music and theatre festival attracts many visitors every year and takes place in May and June. A wide variety of performances from the fields of music, dance and theatre come together within the walls of the old abbey of Stavelot. 

Stavelot is located in the Liège Ardennes, which have enchanted many poets, painters and musicians. As one of the oldest towns in Belgium, Stavelot's origins date back to 648. And so you will find many testimonies of late medieval buildings, Meuse goldsmith's art and half-timbered houses from the 18th century that characterise the townscape.
