Welcome to the realm of silence!
Majestically enthroned in the valley of Ellershausen is the Bärenmühle. A stylish retreat between forest and meadows on the edge of the Kellerwald National Park. Cycling and hiking trails start at the doorstep of the 500-year-old water mill and lead through enchanting landscapes as if from the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. The natural bathing pond and a small wellness area with yoga and Ayurveda offers slow down. The North Hessian-French creations of the hotel restaurant "Maison Martron" complete the pleasure for you.
Your hosts
Host Christiane Kohl and her team welcome you to this romantic country hotel on the edge of the Kellerwald-Edersee UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled between beech trees, meadows and water, Christiane Kohl and her sister have lovingly converted the 500-year-old family home into a romantic country hotel in which each room has been named and furnished after a historical episode. The result is a stylish retreat in enchanting nature that invites you to relax and let go.
