In addition to the Tingvoll Fjord right on the doorstep of the Romantik Hotel, an excursion into the nearby surroundings is also worthwhile: Discover the Norwegian natural diversity of the fjords and a waterfall from Eresfjord to Sunndalsora on an approximately 3-hour exploration tour by car. Or experience Norway's most beautiful valley in Innerdalen on a short hike. 

Kristiansund is a Norwegian port city with a rich maritime history and is just over an hour's drive from Angvik. The Kristiansund Opera on the island of Innlandet, opened in 1914, is the oldest opera house in the country and is one of the highlights of Norway's cultural scene. The opera presents a varied program ranging from classical operas to contemporary pieces and attracts visitors from all over the world with its 150 performances a year. As the capital of the so-called klippfish (dried and salted cod), which has been a local delicacy here for centuries, you can learn more about this culinary tradition at the Kristiansund Klippfish Museum.

Just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, directly on the fjord, another museum awaits you, run by the hosts. Here you will discover exciting insights into the history of shipping and boat building around Angvik.

The Molde Jazz Festival takes place every year in the 29th calendar week of the year and is the oldest and one of the most famous jazz festivals in Europe. You can reach Molde from the Romantik Hotel in Angvik in around an hour's drive. This year, the multi-day event will take place from July 15 - 20, 2024 and will give bands and artists such as the Christian McBride Quintet, Stian Carstensen & Ola Kvernberg, Thee Sacred Souls, Jacob Collier and Nubya Garcia a stage at various venues in Molde.

Discover the mountaineering capital of Andalsnes and hike up to the Rampestreken viewing platform, 550 metres above sea level. Take in the panorama and enjoy the beautiful nature. Do you prefer a more leisurely pace? Then take the Romsdalsgondolen, a state-of-the-art electric cable car from the centre of Andalsnes to Nesaksla at 708 metres above sea level. Looking for an adrenaline rush? Then we recommend a ride over the eleven famous hairpin bends to the Trollstigen plateau, which also offers a great viewpoint.
