A unique place for a very special vacation! Built in 1929, the house offers lovingly furnished luxury rooms with a stylish combination of tradition and modernity, beautiful antiques, fireplaces and plenty of space to feel good and enjoy. A heated pool awaits in the large garden, and the long sandy beach of De Haan beckons just a few meters away. Nearby are also exquisite gourmet restaurants and an ideal vacation day ends in the hotel's own "Honesty Bar".

Our host

The "Zonnehuis" already looks back on an eventful past. In 1929 it was built for the General Timmermann and later converted into a hotel business. Today, the Zonnehuis is an exclusive bed & breakfast hotel with a family character. Host Bertrand Depry, attaches great importance to a personal contact with his guests. He runs the hotel with great attention to detail and attentive service in the morning.

From freshly squeezed orange juice, juices from regional cultivation to coffee, tea and chocolate specialties - everything is taken care of here. A regional selection of sausages and cheeses, salmon, yogurt, muesli and much more round out the breakfast offerings at Zonnehuis. Host Betrand Depry himself will also be happy to spoil you with delicious egg dishes and fresh Belgian waffles.

The Honesty Bar

In the "Honesty Bar" you will also find a selection of whiskey, gin, rum, various wines and soft drinks. In a cozy atmosphere you can enjoy your drink in front of the fireplace, by the outdoor pool or on the sun terrace. As a bed & breakfast, the Zonnehuis does not have its own restaurant. However, host Bertrand Depry will be happy to provide you with exclusive tips on the fantastic restaurants in the area and assist with table reservations.
