Halfway between Paris and Rouen, in Vexin-sur-Epte, Le Moulin de Fourges is a Normandy hotel-restaurant worth a detour. The Moulin, whose style is reminiscent of the Queen's Hamlet at Versailles, stands proudly on the banks of the Epte River in the shadow of the neighboring castle for which it originally produced flour.
Now the Moulin de Fourges, long a restaurant, has recently become a sumptuous hotel-restaurant where conviviality, rurality and authenticity are paramount. 9 suites with warm and tasteful furnishings and views of the river testify to this desire.
As a tribute to the birthplace of Impressionism, each room is dedicated to a painter from our beautiful region and becomes a living theater for the cultural expression of the Vexin.
A modern restaurant, the Moulin de Fourges is housed in the estate's beautiful barn and features a riverside terrace. On the plate, Normandy is celebrated with authentic gourmet recipes.
